Your First WordPress Site
Prerequisites
- Demyx installed and running (Installation guide)
DEMYX_DOMAINandDEMYX_EMAILset indemyx host edit- DNS A record for
domain.tldpointing to your server
Step 1 — Create the Site
demyx run domain.tld --sslDemyx will:
- Pull required Docker images (if not already cached)
- Create Docker volumes for WordPress files and MariaDB
- Generate
compose.ymland.env - Start containers: MariaDB → WordPress → NGINX
- Install WordPress via WP-CLI
- Output credentials
Step 2 — Save Your Credentials
After demyx run completes, you'll see output like:

Username magical_praman
Password iSHEhkGxJzFPsVe0o6D1The login URL uses a random path for security. Bookmark it.
Step 3 — Log Into WordPress
Visit the login URL and sign in with the provided credentials. Change the password immediately in Users → Profile.
Step 4 — Enable Cache (Optional)
demyx config domain.tld --cache=trueFor the nginx-php stack, this installs and configures Nginx FastCGI cache. For OLS, it enables LiteSpeed Cache.
Step 5 — Enable Redis (Optional)
demyx config domain.tld --redis=trueInstalls and configures a Redis container for object caching. Demyx automatically installs the correct plugin for your stack.
Step 6 — Set Up Backups
# Enable auto-backup for this app
demyx config domain.tld --backup=trueAnd ensure global backups are enabled in the host:
# demyx host edit

demyx info domain.tldCheck that DEMYX_APP_SSL=true, DEMYX_APP_STACK=nginx-php, and containers are running:
