Database Issues

Check MariaDB Status

bash
# View MariaDB container logs
demyx log domain.tld -d

# Follow MariaDB logs in real time
demyx log domain.tld -df

# Docker container status
demyx compose domain.tld ps

MariaDB Container Won't Start

Common cause: Corrupted InnoDB transaction log or data directory.

Steps:

  1. Check logs for errors:
bash
   demyx log domain.tld -d
  1. Try force-recreating:
bash
   demyx compose domain.tld fr
  1. If that fails, restore from backup:
bash
   demyx restore domain.tld -d

Database Restore from Backup

bash
# Restore database from today's backup
demyx restore domain.tld -d

# Restore from specific date
demyx restore domain.tld -d --date=2025-10-01

Manual Database Export/Import

bash
# Export database
demyx wp domain.tld db export /tmp/backup.sql

# Copy out of container
docker cp domain_tld_wp:/tmp/backup.sql ./backup.sql

# Import database
docker cp ./backup.sql domain_tld_wp:/tmp/backup.sql
demyx wp domain.tld db import /tmp/backup.sql

Database Credentials Reset

If you need to reset database credentials (--clean):

bash
demyx config domain.tld --clean

This:

  1. Exports the current database
  2. Regenerates credentials
  3. Imports the database with new credentials
  4. Force-downloads WordPress core files
  5. Refreshes WordPress salts

Search and Replace

After migrating a site or changing the domain:

bash
demyx wp domain.tld search-replace 'http://old-domain.tld' 'https://new-domain.tld' --skip-columns=guid

Access MariaDB Shell

bash
# Open MariaDB shell
demyx exec domain.tld -d

# Or via docker exec
demyx exec domain.tld -d mysql -u demyx -p

Optimize Tables

bash
demyx wp domain.tld db optimize

Check Table Integrity

bash
demyx wp domain.tld db check
