Usage

bash
demyx healthcheck app
demyx healthcheck disk
demyx healthcheck load

Description

Runs health checks on app containers, disk usage, or system load. Normally executed automatically by the cron system every 5 minutes (app/load) or hourly (disk). Running manually produces no output if everything is healthy.

Notifications are sent via SMTP or Matrix webhook (if configured in demyx host edit).

Checks

CommandDescription
demyx healthcheck appChecks if all app containers (DB, Nginx, WordPress) are running. Shows Docker logs and log files for any failed container.
demyx healthcheck diskChecks disk usage with df. Sends notification if usage exceeds DEMYX_HEALTHCHECK_DISK_THRESHOLD.
demyx healthcheck loadChecks 5-minute system load average. Sends notification if load exceeds DEMYX_HEALTHCHECK_LOAD.

Enabling Notifications

In demyx host edit, set:

Then restart: demyx host restart

  • demyx cron five-minute — runs app/load healthchecks automatically
  • demyx cron hourly — runs disk healthcheck automatically
  • Developer: Custom Callbacks — send healthcheck alerts to Matrix, Slack, etc.
